EL - Kressara Astraonte

Edit: I went overboard with the bio....let me know if I went completely overboard or did something wrong please T^T) When i drew this originally I tried a new eyes style and now I have no idea how I did it and cannot recreate it yet.

-Class –

Red Lancer – a magically imbued class that harnesses both the power of a lance and magic as one, Kress wields natural power over fire as part of her race. Her lance is called Solaris.

-Weapon/Abilities- 

Solaris – Her choice of weaponry, a lance and staff that Kress normally doesn’t use unless in battle or while traveling. Mainly used for defense. It is much taller than she is and one would think it was impossible to wield but it’s oddly fairly light.

Fire slash – She uses her lance to shoot a slash of fire out from the blade of her lance. Can also be done with a wave of her hand in a similar motion. This ability takes time to cast and is quite draining on her physical strength.

Mystic Flame- Fire of various colors and sizes, cool to the touch, they don’t burn. They are rather pretty to look at though and distracts people easily.

Kress always seems to have a cheerful smile on her lips despite her delicate looking appearance, and no matter how someone views her she is always kind to them, even if it isn’t always a favorable situation. Kress has spent many years learning her trade, and she’s rather confident in her ability to create medical items, potions, salves and other medicinal objects, which of course she sells, and sometimes she’ll just give them away.  

Somewhat childish, especially when it involves sleep, or food. She’s a picky eater and dislikes vegetables, especially lima beans, cauliflower, and bushel sprouts (just as examples.) Being a somewhat tactless Kress tends to say things for face value without much care, though she claims most of her kind share this trait to some degree.  Companied by her cluelessness Kress still has much to learn about the world.

Unable to sit around for one place too long, Kress is always prepared to go journeying. If she stays in one place too long she gets rather restless and it makes her hands itchy. Kress has always disliked seeing others get hurt, she can be rather emotional when it happens and will either express it in fury and rarely tears, this is one of the main reason she is so passionate to help others through her work. This trait has labeled her somewhat of an odd-ball by her teacher.

-History-

Kress believes that her mother, Yvenia originally hailed from Nermiya and her father, Kalden, from Ashralton who left at the rise of the civil war. The two met when Kalden arrived in her country over twenty years ago. Kress and her siblings were born during their travels as they never settled in one place for very long. Her mother never seemed to mind their travels, but eventually she fell ill and her health began to decline. In her final moments Kress’s father decided to return to Nermiya and stayed beside till her death, 4 months later.

Her younger sister, Evierah was only three when she passed, she ten, and her older brother, Kadan was thirteen. Kress soon took over her mother’s role as caretaker and the family began their journeys once more. For a time it was as if their mother had never passed, but a void began to grow and a year later their father left the three in the middle of the night while they slept.

Returning to Ashralton Kress and her siblings grew up there and in the surrounding cities traveling back and forth quite often. When Kress was 16 she met an alchemist while she and her brother traveled to Deval, unprepared for the wintery conditions of Ismrien her brother returned while she remained behind. There she later met her teacher, Devin who after turning Kress away many times, took her in after she stayed outside and got frostbite. (Which he also treated.)

-Additional Information-

- Kress was taught limited combat by her father before his untimely disappearance. (Kress only knows how to defend and very few offensive attacks. IE. She needs someone to TEACH her >3 )

- Her younger sister is currently traveling with a group of Amikonaru, she has recently found out she is with child, though Kress hasn’t met the father.

- Her brother is a teacher or something akin to it. He has a faint scar over his left eye that happened in an arena fight. (She went to treat him.)

-Despite often being on the road, like her sister and brother. She and her brother have a small three bedroom cabin that they bought for whenever they feel like “playing” family.

- Kress often works through the night, and hardly sleeps when she’s researching, making medicine or alchemical items. (Her Lance was created by this practice and she has…tweaked it to her liking over the years.) When she does finally sleep and is woken before she’s well rested, you will be met with flames.

 - She finds the void interesting, but wouldn’t dare to approach it. (She is an avid reader and loves reading history books as well.)
